Signature Prints releases the Florence Broadhurst Woven Jacquard Fabric Collection

Airports, luxury hotels, island resorts, nightclubs and casinos worldwide are set to get a new lease of life as Signature Prints releases the ‘Woven Jacquard Fabric Collection', shaking up the design philosophy that ‘commercial' needs to be ‘conservative'.

So excited by the proposal of adapting the Florence Broadhurst designs to a woven jacquard fabric range, entrepreneur and CEO of Signature Prints, David Lennie, expanded this collection to include four fabric weights – Shimmer, Tempest, Windsor and Pellier. Each boasts a very different look and feel, but all are classic Florence Broadhurst!

The iconic designs Japanese Floral, Fruit Vine, The Cranes, Aubrey, Horses Stampede, Chinese Key, Circles and Squares, Curly Swirls and Tudor Floral are shown in spectacular metallic's, graphic black and white combinations and a range of neutrals to suit any interior.

The luster and drape of the ‘Shimmer' fabrics are perfect for curtaining and cushions – from the elaborate drapery of a formal theatre to the relaxed elegance of a sun filled sitting room.

The deep colour palette and sophisticated design of the tactile ‘Tempest' weight hints at understated formal dining and is quickly gaining popularity.

Striking combinations of black and white allow the graphic nature of Florence 's work takes centre stage in the ‘ Windsor ' fabrics. Perfect for upholstery, the bold statement made by these fabrics is seeing them specified in bars and nightclubs world wide.

The days spent by Florence in London as a couture designer in the 1930's have inspired the luxurious finish of the final fabric weight in this collection. Clearly the showstopper, ‘Pellier' will tempt you to upholster every surface you can run your hands over! The renowned scale of Florence 's designs can not be ignored when viewing this range - flowers the size of serving platters blend into an intricate tapestry in tones of black, gold, silver, cream, red and mauve.

Our expansion into other areas such as wovens simply expands our philosophy of creating luxury lifestyle and furnishings for commercial use. We had to do this – local and international interest demanded it. We show for the first time at Abitare il Tempo this year. ( Verona , September 2008).”

Signature Prints chose to produce this collection in Australia to ensure consideration of environmental standards in both the weave and finishing processes. No water is used in the finishing process and all yarns are free from toxic chemicals.
