Signature Prints launches the new Florence Broadhurst Flora wallpaper range

Signature Prints is delighted to launch its latest range of wallpaper, Flora, featuring the exclusive designs of Florence Broadhurst.

The range comprises a selection of floral prints. These are Spotted Floral, Tudor Floral, Tropical Floral, Carnation, Ingram Tapestry, Scatter Daisy, Gardenia and Tobacco Road.

These Florence Broadhurst designs, unseen for thirty years, have something for everyone, from the traditional all the way through to prints that play with the established principles of design in a most delightful way.

Flora is also the first truly themed collection Signature Prints has produced and we are very excited with the visual end result.

Nadia Klaczkiewicz of Signature Prints describes the designs:

“There’s Spotted Floral, which was conspicuously ahead of its time when Florence introduced it in the 1970s, a balance of playful lines and polka-dots. The result is a rarity – a stunningly large-scale print recognised by the movement it evokes rather than the dimensions of the floral itself.

In contrast, Tudor Floral and Ingram Tapestry pay tribute to the sumptuous wallpapers of the old world. They are the perfect complement to heavily woven carpets, rich timbers and subdued lighting – or alternatively, an intriguing contrast when used within a highly modern space

Scatter Daisy is an excellent example of Broadhurst’s constant experimentation and determination to challenge accepted design principles. The ratio between positive and negative space is almost unseen in wallpaper, as the centuries-old tradition has always directed itself towards all-over pattern coverage.

The Flora range also features Tropical Floral (a wonderful way of creating serenity), Carnation (destined to become a classic – in scale, movement and colour), Gardenia (beautifully constructed, using a strong outline to provide visual drama) and
Tobacco Road (a great way to inject a vertical stripe into a project).”

In addition, the Flora range also marks the release of two new Mylar basepapers:

Black Gloss: which is perfect for that totally dramatic installation, and

Champagne: a magnificent base colour that allows any overprinted colour to shine.
