Signature Prints launches the first Florence Broadhurst Lifestyle Products collection – freeing the world's most sought-after designs from the confines of the home.

With Florence Broadhurst fabrics and wallpaper in high demand worldwide, Signature Prints have broadened the range of products that feature Florence Broadhurst designs by moving them out of the home. Signature Prints are delighted to announce the launch of the "Lifestyle 05" collection, an exquisite new generation of products that includes everything from beautiful suede clutch bags and purses through to luxurious cotton T-shirts.

Practical objects such as fabric and wallpaper-covered journals and travel wallets are only for special people. And for those who need another excuse to buy Broadhurst for the home, there are cotton and silk cushions, fabric panels and limited edition art. While quirky objects such as suede doorstops must never be left on the kitchen bench – they are so scrumptious they are in danger of being eaten.

The Florence Broadhurst designs featured on the products include Japanese Floral, Pomegranate, Fingers, The Cranes, Japanese Bamboo, Circles & Squares, Hessian, Spring Floral, Shadow Floral, Colourbar and Mitzpah.

The vibrant colours chosen – such as Moonlight Jade and Pearl Blush – are those associated with the design brief for the clutches and purses – ‘think Hollywood glamour'. This led to the development of the specialised ‘pearlised' colours by Signature Prints production manager David Orford and a leading ink specialist.

The range is available now and will be exhibited at international trade fairs throughout 2005.

Gabriel Brennan, Signature Prints' Product Development Manager, describes the reaction of customers given a sneak preview of the new range:

“They gave a warm welcome to the first Florence Broadhurst lifestyle products and love the way they have been adapted to smaller-scale products such as the purses and clutches.”

It was hard work for Gabriel and her team though:

“It was definitely a challenging task. We were entering into new and unknown markets which meant a lot of hard work, but made it a lot more rewarding when we got the first fantastic feedback.”

And Gabriel 's favourite item?

“It would have to be the doorstops– they have a fantastically original shape which I absolutely adore, and carry the Florence Broadhurst designs incredibly well. They've already generated a massive amount of interest.”
