"Florence Broadhurst; Past, Present, Future" at Sydney DesignEx 2008
After 8 years of globetrotting, Florence Broadhurst fabrics and wallpapers returned home to Sydney in April for the industry event of the Asia Pacific year - Design Ex 2008. On a 56sq metre stand, Signature Prints hosted ‘Florence Broadhurst, Past, Present, Future’ showcasing the flamboyant colourways of Broadhurst’s 1970’s wallpapers, then jumping to 2008 to display how the designs are used today in residential and commercial interiors.

2007 London design events will be Signature Prints’
biggest yet
September in London has always been a major event in
the Signature Prints calendar and this year’s promises
to be the biggest yet! September is the month when 100% Design,
Decorex and Focus are held.
For Signature Prints, it kicks off with the unveiling of
a stunning range of Florence Broadhurst rugs at the Knots
Rugs stand at 100% Design in Olympia on September 20.
Hot on its heels is Focus at Chelsea Harbour, where UK distributor
Borderline will feature new Florence Broadhurst fabrics and
wallpapers.

Prints ties up with Knots Rugs to launch hand-knotted Florence
Broadhurst rugs
Signature Prints is delighted to announce that it has
given Knots Rugs in London the exclusive contract to produce
Florence Broadhurst rugs for sale in the UK and Europe, to
be launched at 100% Design in London in late September.
The Florence Broadhurst rugs are hand-knotted in Nepal, using
pure Tibetan wool and silk to highlight and contrast the fantastic
designs. These floor rugs are great carriers of design, as
well as being high fashion items.
Knots Rugs has 100 years of rug heritage and a highly successful
flagship store in Battersea, and is now working with Signature
Prints following a meeting at the Decorex trade show in London
in 2005.

installation by body artist Emma Hack
Internationally
renowned body artist Emma Hack has taken Florence
Broadhurst’s designs off into a completely
new direction by painting them onto models!
The result is some stunning
images that show just how versatile Florence Broadhurst
designs by Signature Prints are.
The amazing transformation
of both model and design was part of an installation
by Emma, which took 14 hours to create. The major
difficulty was matching up the body art with the
actual wallpaper.

Soho House LA chooses Florence Broadhurst for Oscar week
For the past three years, one of the hottest invitations
during Oscar week has been to Soho House LA. The chain of
private clubs (New York and London) rents a 10,000 square
foot house in the Hollywood Hills and throws US$250,000 at
an ultra-talented interior designer who has a week to transform
the place. This year and last year, the chosen designer was
expat Brit Amanda Masters.
This West Coast outpost of Soho House
– an ultra-modern, hip hangout – is then open
to members, guests and invited industry A-listers and becomes
one of the most prestigious award-season destinations known
as ‘swag houses’. It’s also the semi-official
destination of the post-Vanity Fair Oscar party.
