Project Brief : |
To carry a theme of opulence throughout the art-deco venue of the Royal Hall of Industries. Special attention was to be paid to the red carpet entrance, the dinner seating for 1000 guests and the stage curtains which were to be in the focus of cameras all evening (for broadcast on SBS television) . | |

Background: |
The red carpet entry way showcased Florence Broadhust's “Spotted Floral” on a huge curtain 15m wide x 6.5m high. The graphic splendour of “Turnabouts” in a red and gold colourway hung on each side of the stage. Guests were seated on printed Florence Broadhurst chair covers and each table featured a table runner of the iconic “Japanese Floral” in red and gold . |
